FAQ

Where is your studio located?

Oh Sew Bold is located in Newtown, Tramore. Eircode X91 Y685, just above the Newtown Driving Range. Unfortunately, our current studio is not wheelchair accessible due to being upstairs with no lift access. There is plenty of free parking and we are in walking distance of beautiful Newtown woods, the Guillamene and the scenic Coast road. Why not enjoy the sights or practice your swing in the driving range before or after your class or during your child's class!

Can I bring my own machine? What if I don't have a sewing machine?

If you have a sewing machine, I highly recommend you bring it to class. It will help you become more familiar with using it and solving any recurring issues. If you don't have a machine, don't worry! I have limited sewing machines available for use for no extra cost. Just select I don't have a sewing machine when adding your class to cart.

Do I need to prebook? What is the upcoming schedule?

Yes, all classes must be prebooked online, as this is a cash free studio. Classes are released regularly depending on interest, with beginner classes repeating most often. Be sure to join the newsletter to be among the first to know when the classes are available.

I'm having trouble checking out in the shop! Can you help?

Yes, of course. Sometimes tech issues are inevitable and are an unfortunate inconvenience. If you are having trouble, no fear, give me a ring or send an email and I can set up a way for you to pay alternatively, including online. With online payments, no account or credit card details will be sent to me. All transactions are processed securely by Stripe.

What age of children are included in the classes?

Children classes usually cater to 7 and older, while teen classes suit ages 12 to 17 (~6th class to 6th year).

What should I bring to class?

Each class listing will specify if you need to bring anything to class, other than your sewing machine if you have one. Most beginner classes include all supplies, but if your class requires it, a material and supply list will be sent out before your first class.

What protective measures are in place for Covid 19?

Hand sanitiser is available and work stations are spaced away from each other with items that will not be shared. For items that are shared (iron, for example), students are asked to sanitise their hands before use. All hard surfaces are disinfected between classes.
